In March and April of 2004, The Mountain Goats toured Europe. The touring lineup was John Darnielle on vocals and guitar and Peter Hughes on bass. The tour included shows in France, The Netherlands, Belgium, England, and Scotland.
The opening act for the Amsterdam and Rotterdam shows was Cass McCombs, the opening acts for the London show were Vinny Miller and Headshoppe, the opening act for the Bristol show was Axis of Evil, and the opening act for the Nottingham show was Califone. The first Paris show was performed with Cat Power, but it is not known whether she was the opening act or headliner. Any other opening acts for the tour are unknown.
